Printing on apparel
Type of printing
Most of the apparel items in our product catalog are printed using the Direct to Garment (DTG) printing method because it allows for maximum detail in design and color options. It is also a more cost-effective option for our partners. DTG is a method where a printer directly applies the ink onto the t-shirt with inkjet technology. It involves a special printer that prints the ink directly onto the garment with your desired design. DTG uses specialty inks that are absorbed by the fibers of the garment.

Stock vs non-stock
Two tiers of apparel stocking:
- Stocked Apparel: These are items that are always available, barring any unforeseen circumstances such as a nationwide shortage of a specific shirt color or brand.
- Non-stock Apparel: These are items that we offer in the Sensaria catalog but they’re not kept on-site in the supply rooms at the manufacturer. When an order comes in for a non-stock item, the vendor orders the blank apparel item and ships it to their facility to be printed.
We offer two levels of fulfillment for apparel and production time frames can vary for apparel products based on the type of apparel stocking. Stocked apparel follows the guidelines listed in the table in that article but please note that non-stocked apparel will typically take a few days longer.
Please be aware that products kept in stock vs non-stock changes depending on inventory management at the facilities but we work with our vendors to have as many models stocked as possible to keep our production times quick.
Creating artworks for t-shirts
The print area for apparel products starts 1’’ below the collar. If you need your artwork to print lower, you can leave some transparent space on the top of your image.
Terminology
CF, CB, and CFCB relate to where the design will be printed on the apparel product. This is essentially the location of where you want to print your design on the apparel product.

- CB- Center Back
- CFCB- Both Center Front and Center Back
