Please note that this information is directly provided by Sattar & Associates as they are our partnered tax experts that are here to help you with any sales & use tax concerns.

If you are selling on a Marketplace, such as Etsy, Amazon, or eBay, we understand the marketplace collects sales tax from your customers in states where "Marketplace Facilitator" rules are in place. However, to comply with various state and local rules and regulations, Gooten is required to retain properly executed exemption certificates from its customers claiming a resale exemption.

If you ONLY sell through online marketplaces (Etsy, Amazon, eBay, etc.), please complete the following:

  1. Please complete, sign, date, and return the marketplace affidavit to GootenEC@sattarinc.com.
  2. In addition to the Affidavit, California (CA)New York (NY), and Pennsylvania (PA) require the use of their state-specific forms, which are completed using your "home state" Sellers Permit number. You can find the links to the state resale certificate forms below:

If you sell through your own website or a combination of your own website and an online marketplace, please complete the following:

  1. Please complete, sign, date, and return the resale affidavit to GootenEC@sattarinc.com.
